LETTER
O
ne of my favorite sayings is this:
“Invest in good shoes and fine sheets—
if you’re not wearing one, you’re in the
other.” Maybe I like that saying because
I enjoy a nice pair of shoes and a well-made
bed. But as a quilter, I think I’d modify the
sentiment to this: “Invest in good shoes
and beautiful bed quilts—if you’re not
wearing one, you’re snuggled under the
other.” And what fun that we can make the
quilts ourselves!
There is a combination of delight and
satisfaction in being able to make one-of-a-
kind coverings for every bed in your home.
A handmade treasure that gives each and
every bedroom a custom look is something
you, your family, and your overnight guests
can look forward to night after night.
Already have a quilt on every bed? Start
working on more so you can change them
out with the seasons!
What you’ll find in these pages are
patterns for quilts to fit every bed—from
cribs to king-size beds. So kick off those
shoes, stretch out on a bed, and start
perusing the following pages to select
your next quilt project. It’s the stuff of
sweet dreams!
